    • Execute established build procedures and create new ones

    • Perform functional tests on sub-assemblies and finished units.

    • Log quality-control data and flag issues or non-conformities.

    • Diagnose, rework, and repair damaged products

    • Support incoming inspection of parts and materials

    • Assist with packaging, inventory handling, and shipment preparation.

    • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve product or assembly

    • Document build steps, test results, and workflow optimizations.

    • Contribute to quick prototypes—3D prints, fixtures, jigs, or mechanical mockups—to test build efficiencies or user experience improvements.

    • Assemble small batches of surface mount PCBs for electronics prototyping.

    • Provide feedback to Engineering and Design teams based on hands-on assembly insights and device handling.

    • Assist with small bench tests or experiments exploring new material and methods.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with hand tools and small power tools.

    • Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other basic test equipment.

    • Experience with surface-mount PCB assembly, including component identification, solder paste application, reflow processes, and manual touch-up.

    • Familiarity with hardware prototyping, robotics, or engineering/maker projects.

    • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow repeatable processes, and steady hands for delicate assembly tasks.

    • Ability to read build instructions, electronic schematics, PCB assembly drawings, and BOMs.

    • Bonus: access to a car a willingness to occasionally travel to local manufacturing partners in the Seattle area
